Online Introduction to WAV Baseline Monitoring (1-2 hours)

Completing the free Online Introduction to WAV Baseline Monitoring is your first step toward joining our dedicated volunteer network! You can complete this online course any time of the year, and then you will be ready to sign up for an in-person field training at a stream site in spring.

Baseline monitoring field trainings are typically held mid-April through early June. Participants become active volunteer stream monitors immediately following the field training.

“Winter Water Talks” is a free webinar series hosted by the WAV Program and the Citizen Lake Monitoring Network (UW-Stevens Point Extension Lakes). Occurring monthly during the winter, we cover a variety of interesting lake, river, and wetland topics presented by guest speakers. Participants also have the opportunity to ask their burning questions! Watch our Events Page for upcoming webinars.
